Winsauer Heinz

Dr. Winsauer obtained his medical degree in 1980 from Innsbruck University, followed by three years of clinical training in general medicine. Since 1984, he has attended dental school, followed by a specialization in orthodontics at the Dental University of Innsbruck. Since 1990 private practice in Bregenz. He has been a part-time instructor at the universities of Graz, Bern, and Geneva. In 1998, he became the first Austrian orthodontist in private practice to successfully pass the European Board exam. He has authored 24 peer-reviewed publications, four book chapters, and has eight international orthodontic patents. He has been a keynote speaker at major events, including EOS (2017), AAO (2021), SFODF (2021), the Mexican Congress (2023), AEEDC Dubai (2024), and SEDO (2024), and has conducted pre-congress courses at EOS (2017) and SFODF (2021). His research focuses on non-surgical maxillary expansion using bone-borne anchorage and mandibular midline distraction osteogenesis.
